BUILDING

A PROJECT is unique and temporary in nature; each will have a specific scope and resources.  Projects are comprised of anything that is not a routine or within normal Operations. 

 

Completed examples include:

  • Manage License Application Process

  • Oversee Office Renovations

  • Direct New Website/Current Website Overhaul

  • Administer new office set-up (including roles & responsibilities)

  • Evaluate Manpower/Work Assignments of current and future staff

  • Prepare for an Audit (Insurance, IRS, Licensure)

  • Research new technology or equipment need, making recommendation and/or provide options

  • One-off Property Management Need (i.e., Need to have someone make the arrangements and meet people at the property regarding selling, staging, and/or insurance settlement of property)

Project Management

BETTER

Marketing, in the broadest sense, is any activity designed to highlight your company, enhance your position, and attract new customers. 

 

Completed examples include:

  • Create consistent branding

  • Write copy - for website, publications, advertisements, press releases

  • Create PowerPoint and other presentations

  • Award Submissions

  • Respond to RFPs and RFQs (Request for Proposal and Request for Qualifications)

  • Develop Marketing Events

  • Plan and Source creative collateral, customer gifts, and social outreach

Marketing

PROCESSES

Operations deals primarily with all the non-sales and non-marketing aspects of operating the business, such as Administration, Bookkeeping, Customer Service, Data Management, Filing Systems, Human Resource, Research, Technology, and Leadership Strategy. 

 

Completed Examples include:

  • Create and develop policies, procedures, and processes for existing department or function areas.

  • Provide ad hoc services such as analyze employee insurance options and make recommendations, evaluate employee workload distribution, etc.

  • Fill the gap; by providing ad hoc services where there currently is none – Administrative, Accounting/Bookkeeping, Human Resource, Office Management, etc.

  • Establish inventory controls for company assets.

  • Identify and develop measures to combat security lapses and loss prevention.

  • Collect, control, and maintain company security oversight (physical office security as well as job role checks and balances).
